I live with my gregarious husband (who is, by the way, and awesome cook), a sun conure, a senegal, an indian ringneck, an african grey, a macaw, four cockatiels, four lovebirds, four parakeets, two hounds, a leaf fish and his court of rainbow-colored guppies, some mollies, a crab, a blue gourami, and a woodsy yard full of chickadees, tit mice, downy woodpeckers, herons, hummers, hawks, flickers, finches, falcons, flowers, ferns, coons, possums, deer, skunks, snakes, squirrels, skinks, occasional scarlet tanagers, and a myriad of descendents from a particular one-eyed toad who hops right into my house early in the springtime and requests politely that I toss a silver ball with him.
